The short answer is no. However, technology is changing. Some traditional landlines are being updated to newer systems that use the internet to make calls. If you are concerned about your phone connection changing, contact your telephone service provider. Phone companies are required to provide you with options and give you advance warning of any changes they plan to make to your service agreements. Learn more by reading this blog.

To qualify for a caption phone through ClearCaptions, you must be a U.S. resident who can certify that you have hearing loss requiring captions to use the phone. Since our caption services are currently only available in English, you’ll must also be able to communicate in English. An internet connection is also required.
If you have hearing loss that requires captions to use the phone, you may qualify for a caption phone at no cost to you.
After you complete the sign-up form, one of our ClearCaptions specialists will contact you to complete the application process.
Getting started with ClearCaptions is easy. You can either fill out our form online or call a ClearCaptions specialist at 855-460-1117 to start the process.
No doctor notes or certifications are required. Our ClearCaptions specialist will walk you through the self-certification process when you apply for your caption phone.

You can assist your family member with the application, but they must be present to complete registration.

- Can you communicate in English?
No, but you will need an existing internet connection.
